Reduce, Reuse, Recycle? REIMAGINE

Interdisciplinary researcher and designer Cristina Palacios (KINKLEID) brings in creative thinking to the R strategy.

Artists and designers have the ability to see what others cannot, and thus, are essential for the circular economy.

What an engineer would often call “waste” or “failure”, a designer would call “an opportunity”.

This concept was developed by KINKLEID, and was presented during the final event of the Horizon Europe Syschemiq project, along with jewelry prototypes made from failed experiments and waste materials. The work was comissioned by Zuyd Hogeschool and Stadlabs Sittard-Geleen.
